Coming soon to iPhone
Fake call from your iPhone, on your schedule
CallBail shows a believable incoming call on your own phone, at the moment you choose, so you can step away from a conversation without a clumsy excuse.
The app is not released yet. The browser simulator needs no sign-up.
What the CallBail app is built to do
A fake call only helps if it looks ordinary and arrives when you need it. These are the three areas we are focused on.
-
Caller name and photo you choose
Type any name and add a photo from your library. A first name, a role like "Office" or a made-up contact all work, so setup takes seconds when you are already on the spot.
-
Ringtone and timing
Pick a ringtone and decide when the call arrives: in a few seconds, after a set number of minutes, or at a time you schedule ahead. A short delay gives you room to put your drink down first.
-
Its own call screen, with a lock-screen prompt
The call screen is our own design, not a copy of the system Phone screen. CallBail is built to prompt you even when the phone is locked, but your Silent switch, Focus mode and notification settings still decide what you see and hear. We will publish exact behavior at launch.

How it works in three steps
- Set up the caller. Choose a name, a photo and a ringtone. You can do it long before you need it.
- Pick the moment. Start a countdown or set a time. Then put your phone away and carry on with your evening.
- Answer and exit. When the screen lights up, answer, say a few lines, and leave on your terms. Decline it if the moment has already passed.
If you would like to see the flow before the app is out, the browser simulator lets you preview the ringing screen and the delay idea. For other methods, including ones that need no app at all, read how to fake a phone call.
When people reach for a fake call
Most of the time it is small and ordinary: a conversation that has run ten minutes too long, a first date that is not going anywhere, a meeting that will not end. Our guides cover each situation with wording you can use.
- A family-style caller can end a party early. See fake call from Mom.
- A work-style caller helps you leave a stalled meeting or a networking chat. See fake call from your boss.
- A friendly voice is easiest to believe on a date or at a gathering. See fake call from a friend.
- Sometimes a polite sentence works better than a prop. See how to leave an awkward conversation.
Some people also use a ringing phone as a quiet way out when a situation feels off. That is a legitimate use, and we cover it on the personal safety page.
CallBail is for leaving a conversation politely or giving yourself a safer exit. Do not use a fake call to commit fraud, harass anyone, impersonate a real person to cause harm, or deceive someone in order to hurt them. It does not call 911 or anyone else. In an emergency in the US, dial 911 directly. The full rules are in our terms of use.
The website collects very little. The plain-language privacy policy lists exactly what is and is not collected.
Common questions
Is CallBail available on the App Store?
Not yet. The app is still being finished, and the App Store badge on this site stays inactive until it launches. In the meantime, the browser simulator on the fake call page previews the ringing screen and needs no install.
Does CallBail place a real phone call?
No. It shows a simulated incoming call screen on your own iPhone. No number is dialed, nobody is contacted, and no one else's phone rings.
Can I pick who the call appears to be from?
Yes. You type any caller name, such as a first name, a role or a made-up contact, and choose a photo. Use names that are yours to use, never a real person you intend to mislead.
Is a fake call okay to use?
For leaving a conversation politely or giving yourself a safer exit, yes. It must never be used for fraud, harassment, or deceiving someone in order to hurt them. It is also not a substitute for calling 911 in an emergency.
